27 ตุลาคม 2564 นพ.ธนาธิป ศุภประดิษฐ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท ธนบุรี เฮลท์แคร์ กรุ๊ป จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ THG เปิดเผยว่า วัตถุประสงค์การจัดทำ THG HyCar เพราะเล็งเห็นปัญหาของสังคมที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงโควิด-19 นั่นคือ ความวิตกกังวลของผู้คนที่ต้องใช้ระบบขนส่งสาธารณะที่ยังมีความเสี่ยงต่อการแพร่ระบาดของโรค ซึ่งอาจเกิดขึ้นระหว่างเดินทาง จึงผสานความเชี่ยวชาญจาก 3 พันธมิตร ได้แก่ ด้านเฮลท์แคร์ของ THG – ด้านนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีของ KBTG – ด้านงานบริการของ JOY ผนึกเป็นบริการ THG HyCar รถรับส่งปลอดโควิด-19 ที่ควบคุมความสะอาดภายในรถตามมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยด้านสุขอนามัย เชื่อมโยงการใช้บริการผ่านเทคโนโลยี ช่วยเพิ่มความมั่นใจ ปลอดภัย คลายกังวลแก่ผู้ต้องการเดินทาง
ดร.เจริญชัย บวรธรรมรัตน์ Senior Principal Visionary Architect บริษัท กสิกร บิซิเนส-เทคโนโลยี กรุ๊ป หรือ KBTG กล่าวว่า ในปัจจุบันนี้ที่เทคโนโลยีเป็นตัวกลางเชื่อมธุรกิจและการใช้ชีวิตเข้าไว้ด้วยกันอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ ทำให้แพลตฟอร์มการให้บริการรถรับส่งกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในชีวิตประจำวันของคนรุ่นใหม่ แต่การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 ได้ส่งผลต่อความกังวลในความเสี่ยงการแพร่ระบาดระหว่างการเดินทาง จึงเป็นที่มาของความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้ เพราะสามารถเข้ามาตอบโจทย์ปลดล็อกข้อกังวลของผู้เดินทาง โดยเป็นการนำความเป็นมืออาชีพทั้งด้านเฮลท์แคร์ของ THG มาผนึกไว้ด้วยกัน โดยในส่วนของ KBTG ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีจะเข้ามาช่วยเติมเต็มด้านแพลตฟอร์มเพื่อเป็นช่องทางให้ประชาชนลงทะเบียนจองการใช้บริการ THG HyCar โดยผ่านแอพลิเคชันไลน์ (LINE) @THGinfo ผู้ลงทะเบียนเพียงกรอกจุดหมายปลายทาง เลือกประเภทรถที่ต้องการ กำหนดเวลา และชำระเงิน ซึ่งเมื่อชำระเงินสำเร็จ ก็จะได้ใบจองรถผ่านทางแอพลิเคชันไลน์ จากนั้นก็รอรถมารับตามเวลาที่นัดหมายได้เลย
ทั้งนี้ เป้าหมายที่ KBTG มองจากความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ คือการพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์มที่เน้นการออกแบบโดยคำนึงถึงความสะดวกของผู้ใช้งานเป็นหลัก เพื่อให้ง่ายต่อการนัดหมาย ชำระเงินและติดต่อสื่อสารต่อไป เป็นการเพิ่มทางเลือกใหม่ในการเดินทางให้แก่คนไทย ที่สอดคล้องกับโอกาสการเปิดประเทศ รวมถึงมีส่วนช่วยประชาชนสามารถมั่นใจในการกลับมาใช้ชีวิตแบบปกติได้อีกครั้ง

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Every traveller must obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/. Please check the website for further details.
The Embassy takes 3 working days to process the application. Applicants can check the result of the application on the website.
VACCINATION AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS
– All international arrivals must be fully vaccinared against COVID-19 for more than 14 days, with a vaccine registered with the MoPH or approved by the World Health Organisation. Proof of vaccination must be submitted when applying for a COE.
– A COVID-19 test with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected (COVID test must be by RT-PCR method), issued within 72 hours before departure is required.
DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS
Please note the documents below must be presented to the airline and the Thai authorities.
1. A vaccine certificate to proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no less than 14 days before the travel date with a vaccine registered with the MoPH or approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO)
2. A valid visa
3. A Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate
4. A COVID-19 health insurance policy with a minimum coverage of US$100,000
5. A confirmation of booking in a SHA Plus-certified accommodation establishment
6. A medical certificate with an RT-PCR laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
REQUIREMENTS ON ARRIVAL
– Undergo Immigration and Customs procedures, and a COVID-19 screening, including RT-PCR tests
– Download and install the alert application
– Check-in at the pre-booked SHA Plus-certified accommodation establishment.
REQUIREMENTS DURING THE STAY
– Undergo a COVID-19 test using an RT-PCR method on Day 5 of your arrival per the MoPH’s guidelines
– Engage in and enjoy tourism activities or services in SHA Plus-certified venues and businesses, under the DMHTTA precautions.

Phuket tourism stakeholders commit to reopen Phuket safely from 1 July 2021
To date, 54% of Phuket’s population have received COVID-19 vaccines, while Phuket is working to contain local transmission and bring the number of new COVID-19 cases close to zero.
The ‘Sandbox’ model signifies public health safety for all. Phuket will be the pilot destination to reopen in the third quarter to fully vaccinated foreign visitors from low-risk countries under strict rules and regulations. Safety is paramount in the reopening of Phuket
Under the Sandbox model, Phuket plans to safely achieve herd immunity against COVID-19 for 70% of the island’s population with the number of new COVID-19 cases being close to zero by 30 June, 2021.
Phuket started the island-wide vaccination from 1 April, 2021, under the plan to inoculate 466,000 people on the island (about 70% of the population), including 300,000 local residents, 100,000 non-residents, and the remaining being foreign residents and migrant workers.
As of 1 June, 2021, Phuket’s vaccination programme has reached 54% of the population, mostly among locals and non-residents. Vaccination for foreigners and migrant workers is scheduled on 3 June, 2021. We expect the vaccination to reach 70% of Phuket’s population by 30 June, 2021

“Accepting vaccinated passengers should be global best practice to reopen borders,” pointed out the International Air Transport Association (IATA) via a press release on May 19th.
This conclusion was not only vocalized by the IATA, but also by European Union leaders: “The EU ambassadors agreed to update the approach to travel from outside the European Union,” said Christian Wigand, European Commission’s spokesperson, during a press conference held also on May 19th.
Both announcements constitute a highly relevant landmark for the travel and tourism sector in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Why? While the IATA represents over 290 airlines, which equals 82% of global air traffic, the European Union is the most visited region in the world with more than 740 million international arrivals per year (pre-pandemic).
How can international travelers show proof of vaccination?
COVID passes with blockchain technology (South Korea), paper-based vaccine cards (such as the one issued by the CDC in the United States), special governmental vaccine mandates (Australia), or even more global, coordinated solutions such as the EU Digital Green Certificate are only some of the innovations that might allow foreign passengers to visit other countries this summer.
IATA highlights Germany’s success case, where “vaccinated travelers are no longer subject to quarantine measures (except for certain high-risk countries).”
France will allow Americans who are fully vaccinated to enter the country as of June 9th, 2021

Let’s go Tokyo Olympics!
The latest statement from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said that the Olympics will push through even while Tokyo is under a state of emergency which caught the ire of some Japanese. However, cancelling the Tokyo Olympics is more than safety concerns; it involves politics and TONS of money!
Legally, it is not up to Japan and the Tokyo government to cancel the Olympics. IOC owns the games and Japan is the host. IOC can only end the contract. But IOC president Thomas Bach said that the games will go ahead regardless of the fourth wave.
In 2019, all preparations have been set and Japan has been actively promoting the Olympics. Everyone is excited and is hoping for a return on their investment. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic happened in 2020 months before the games.
Celebrating the Olympic values is the best way to herald a new era, if possible. There is no doubt that this Olympics is one for the books right after the global pandemic.
It would be a great PR for Japan and the current leadership if it will be able to hold the games safely without a major outbreak of infection.
It is also an opportunity to restart the severely affected tourism industry. It is still unclear whether spectators will be allowed in the games and the organizers will most likely decide at the last minute. Latest reports claimed that they are leaning towards allowing fans to watch the event.

For rail enthusiasts planning for some spectacular post-pandemic experiences, now is certainly a good time to plan ahead and chart a journey on some of the longest train routes on the planet.
An interesting feature published by The Telegraph took a look at the longest direct rail routes that do not involve changing train.
The Trans–Siberian Railway which connects Moscow with the Russian far east is still the world’s longest direct rail route, running for 9,259 kilometers or 5,753 miles.
The journey passes through the Ural Mountains, Siberia’s birch forests and Lake Baikal, taking 6 days according to The Telegraph.
