Quarantine to be eased from April 1, 2021
From April 1 visitors would not be required to show a fit-to-fly document.
From April 1 to Sept 30, quarantine facilities of various forms would remain operative.
From Oct 1 on they would be replaced with “close observation” devices and “bubble and seal” measures would be imposed at airports, transport routes, tourist destinations and communities near tourist destinations.
From April 1 to June 30, qarantined arrivals would be allowed to leave their rooms to go to a gymnasium, outdoor exercise area, swimming pool and controlled areas for cycling and outside shopping.
From July 1 to Sept 30, they would be able to eat in restaurants at their hotels and have health massages.
From Oct 1 onwards, quarantine would be required only for people arriving from specified areas.
On the issue of quarantine duration, from April 1 to Sept 30, arrivals without a vaccination certificate (VC) and Covid-19 free certificate (CFC) would be quarantined for 10 days, and be tested for the disease twice.
Arrivals with VCs and CFCs would be quarantined for seven days and tested once. Those with VCs but without CFCs would be tested twice.
The 14-day quarantine period would remain for arrivals from areas where the Covid-19 virus has mutated, which is of global concern
Thailand Safety and Health Administration: “SHA”
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with the public and private sector partners, is introducing an “Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration: SHA” certification aimed at elevating the country’s tourism industry standards and developing confidence among international and domestic tourists.
The project is part of TAT’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis and accelerate recovery in the travel and tourism sector. The Amazing Thailand SHA certification is to prepare Thai tourism operators to be ready for the return of tourism post COVID-19.
SHA certification works together with the

Ministry of Tourism and Sports,
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau,
Board of Trade of Thailand,
Federation of Thai Spa and Wellness Association,
Thai Retailers Association,
Thai Hotels Association,
Association of Domestic Travel,
Thai Amusement and Leisure Park Association,
Thai Restaurant Association,
Thai Spa Association,
Thai Boats Association,
and Event Management Association.
The evaluation methods and methodology of assessment for tourism establishments and services to be certified with the Amazing Thailand SHA certification will cover 5 key areas.
- Tourism establishments and services must strictly follow the COVID-19 control guidelines by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health.
- The safety of attractions and facilities with development plans or operation procedures that focus on ensuring tourist safety while maintaining local culture and promoting interaction between local communities and tourists.
- Hygiene and sanitation in tourism establishments and services; such as, homestays, lodges, souvenir shops and restaurants.
- Convenience, cleanliness, and safety of linkages between communities and attractions, as well as the safety and health standards of transportation, including private cars, public buses, and airlines.
- The confidence in tourism personnel in tourism establishments, including tourist safety and security protocol.

สภา สมาพันธ์ และสมาคมต่างๆ ในอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว เป็นผู้ดำเนินการตรวจประเมิน Checklist พร้อมรับรองผลการปรับปรุงสถานประกอบการตามมาตรฐาน SHA โดยแบ่งเป็น 10 ประเภทกิจกรรม ได้แก่ ประเภทภัตตาคาร/ร้านอาหาร ประเภทโรงแรม/ที่พักและสถานที่จัดประชุม ประเภทนันทนาการและสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ประเภทยานพาหนะ ประเภทบริษัทนำเที่ยว ประเภทสุขภาพและความงาม ประเภทห้างสรรพสินค้าและศูนย์การค้า ประเภทกีฬาเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว ประเภทโรงละคร โรงมหรสพและการจัดกิจกรรม และประเภทร้านค้าของที่ระลึกและร้านค้าอื่นๆ

Thailand Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) / (ASLQ)
List of government-designated Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facility for 14-day State Quarantine at the traveler’s own expense. For Thai and Non-Thais nationals
*For Non-Thai nationals who will enter Thailand during a spread of COVID-19 need to be placed under 14-day state quarantine at the traveler’s own expense. Please find the name of the hotels for ASQ as follow.

1) List of Alternative State Quarantine ASQ Hotels
Note: Passengers arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) / Don Mueang International Airport can be quarantined in ASQ hotels (located in Bangkok) and ALQ located in Chonburi and Prachinburi.
Normally, the package includes not only accommodation for 15 nights but also 3 meals a day, free WiFi, and private car airport transfer from either Don Mueang Airport or Suvarnabhumi Airport.
A nurse is on call 24/7, and you will have your temperature taken and health checked 2 times a day.
The package also includes two COVID-19 tests that usually take place on the 5th and 13th day of quarantine.
If your COVID-19 test will be positive, you will be transferred to the hospital.
The ASQ package does not include consultation costs with doctors, transportation costs other than the airport pick-up, airport drop off , (Airport Transfer)
and any other treatments at the hospital other than the two COVID-19 tests. However, it depends on terms and conditions of each hotel.
